From the moment we met at our first consultation, Alanna knew she wanted her engagement session to be during the Canadian Tulip Festival. She wanted warm spring floral. Crazy schedules and many emails later on both sides, the only day available was Saturday of May long weekend. Knowing both of their personalities, I didn’t want the busyness of people and eyes on them to ruin their experience. I started looking for amazing florals elsewhere. I saw a video from a few years back of blooming crab apple trees around this time, so I started to scavenge. I am beyond excited that we were able to find this stunning spot that was even more perfect for the both of them.
I can’t even explain the joy I felt watching Alanna fall more in love with the location with each step, as I showed her the wonderland tunnel of tress I planned to shoot in and proposed shaking the tree limb for a magical rain of petals. That’s why I do what I do. The happiness I get when I can serve like that is unlike anything else. There was something about these two that was just so intimate and cosy; you can just tell these two love being close!! She is a fellow Swiftie and probably the closest couple compatible to my own cheesiness!! I can’t wait for their Pembroke wedding in September!!!
